I love wine. That is a fact. But really I think wine loves me too.. It’s just one of those things. We were meant to be together:)
So of course when I hear of a little wine tasting event, I am right in there! The more enticing fact was that is was wine made right here in Mallorca. No matter where I am in the world I like to drink locally:)
The event was held at a place called ‘The Galley Club’, right here in Palma de Mallorca. The Galley Club offers cookery courses normally, and this was just a special little event they had put on.
The feature estate where this lovely wine was made, is called ‘Es Verger Esporles’. It was not a big event, and there were only 3 types of red wine on offer, paired with some Tapa’s.
My top choice, was the Els Rojals,
Which was a variety of Mantonegro, Cabernet Sauvingnon, and Merlot. This choice was followed by a close second, which was the Pinot Noir.
My third choice was the Ses Marjades, which was a variety of Mantonegro, i Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon.
All in all the 3 wines were each very enjoyable. And would absolutely drink any of them again. Twist my rubber arm!! Only if you must:)
Ahhhh, yes… My pallet was extremely happy. A nice quant little event, with fab company, and very excellent quality locally produced wine.
